Sydney McLean (she/her) is the Director of Milestones Development at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Since joining the ACGME in 2013 as the Milestones Project Administrator, she has advanced through key roles, becoming Project Manager in 2017 and Director in 2024.

Sydney holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Iowa and an MHA from National Louis University. She is currently pursuing an EdD in Educational Leadership and Program Improvement. Her expertise in project management and educational leadership has significantly contributed to the enhancement of milestone assessments across accredited medical specialties and subspecialties.

Committed to improving medical education, Sydney’s work emphasizes evidence-based practices and innovative strategies. Her leadership at the ACGME continues to shape the future of graduate medical education.
