For over a decade, Jessica Halem has been a leader at the intersection of medicine and social impact. Most recently leading a team of health equity innovators at the University of Pennsylvania working with start-ups, life sciences, and government agencies.
Previously, she was the inaugural LGBTQ Director at Harvard Medical School where she improved patient care, workforce issues, and medical education.
As a young leader, Jessica spearheaded cultural competency trainings with the CDC and led the Lesbian Community Cancer Project in Chicago. Her public policy experience includes on-the-ground work in New Orleans and New York City, informed by her first boss, former NY Congresswoman Bella Abzug.
She holds a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and an MBA from Simmons University.
Jessica serves on the Board of the Tegan and Sara Foundation.
