Hayden Shafer, MD, Assistant Professor, Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Dr. Hayden Shafer (he/him) is an assistant professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center who provides care through VIVID Health, specializing in the delivery of primary care and gender affirming treatments across the state.

He graduated from East Tennessee State University Quillen College of Medicine in 2017, and he completed his residency training at the University of North Carolina in Family Medicine. He is the course co-director of VUMC's LGBTQ+ Health Integrated Science Course for medical students, and he is the curriculum co-director of VUMC's LGBTQ+ Health Fellowship.

He has been featured on the medical education podcast "Primary Care Review and Perspectives", covering topics of LGBTQ+ care.
