Dr. McAneny (she/her) is CEO of New Mexico Oncology Hematology Consultants, LTD, and the past President of the New Mexico Cancer Center Foundation. She has lived in Albuquerque since 1980.

Dr. McAneny is active in organized medicine and advocacy. She was the 1989 President of the Greater Albuquerque Medical Association and was President of the New Mexico Medical Society in 2000. She served a four-year term on the Practicing Physicians Advisory Council for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, on the AMA Council of Medical Service, and the American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO) Board of Directors and its Clinical Practice Committee.

She is a member and Past-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the American Medical Association. In June of 2017, Dr. McAneny was elected by the AMA House of Delegates as President Elect of the AMA.
